Indianapolis, IN (MMD Newswire) October 14, 2013 — Mayor Greg Ballard of Indianapolis and Governor Pence of Indiana have officially proclaimed November 2, 2013 as Rock-It To A Cure Day for the city of Indianapolis and the state of Indiana. The charity event will hit The Athenaeum Theater on November 2nd, 2013, in downtown Indianapolis for its third annual event with all proceeds going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Rock-It To A Cure 2013 is made possible through partnerships with The Athenaeum Foundation, Enmingle.com, the Indiana Army National Guard, Sun King Brewery and Green Bean Delivery.

This year, Rock-It To A Cure presents international recording artist Black Stone Cherry ( www.blackstonecherry ) as the event headliner. They are fresh off of their 2013 national headlining tour, having spent part of their summer as the special guest of the Lynyrd Skynyrd/Bad Company 40th Anniversary Tour. In June, they headlined Download , the U.K.’s premier rock festival. They have released three studio albums and three EPs and have charted 8 singles on the U.S.Mainstream Rock Track Charts. They debuted #1 on the U.K. rock chart with their 2008 sophomore release, Folklore and Superstition. They are currently in studio recording their fourth album, due for release in 2014. They are signed with Roadrunner Records.

With doors opening at 7:00 pm, the concert will also feature as special guests two of Indy’s best live local bands, PictureYes ( www.pictureyes.net ) at 8:00 pm and Reaul (www.reaul.com ) at 8:45 pm. Rock-It To A Cure is also excited to announce that this year’s celebrity emcee will be Rupert Boneham, President of Ruperts Kids, Inc. Rupert is a 4 time contestant of TV’s Survivor and has won the million dollar prize having been voted Fan Favorite. He is currently appearing on Survivor: Blood vs Water.

Featured this year will also be an invitation-only meet and greet before the concert with Rupert, Black Stone Cherry, Reaul and PictureYes.
